Game of Thrones parte favorito.

Fermento a Los Angeles per gli Oscar della televisione, dopo l’annuncio delle nomination agli Emmy Awards 2014, i premi che celebrano ogni anno le serie tv più amate e i loro protagonisti.

A dominare, con ben 19 candidature è Game of Thrones, serie tv evento della stagione che, anche nel nostro Paese, tiene incollati milioni di telespettatori al piccolo schermo.
Le streghe di American Horror Story: Coven si batteranno in 17 categorie, mentre rimane sulla cresta dell’onda anche Breaking Bad, che si è aggiudicato 16 nomination tra cui miglior serie drammatica e miglior attore protagonista con Bryan Cranston.

Fa incetta di candidature anche Fargo, la serie tratta dal film dei fratelli Coen.

Nella categoria «Miglior serie drammatica», si sfidano House of Cards e la serie in costume Downtown Abbey, in competizione con i due favoriti Game of Thrones e Breaking Bad.

Tra gli esclusi eccellenti The Blacklist, The Walking Dead, Sons of Anarchy, Criminal Minds, Boardwalk Empire e Orphan Black.

La sfida è accesissima anche tra gli interpreti. Sono sempre di più, infatti, le star di Hollywood che si mettono in gioco sul piccolo schermo, come ad esempio i premi Oscar Kevin Spacey e Matthew McConaughey che concorreranno nella categoria «Miglior attore drammatico» rispettivamente per House of Cards e True Detective.

Tra le donne è ormai una sfida ricorrente quella tra Claire Danes (Homeland) e Kerry Washington (Scandal).

Nella categoria comedy, sarà guerra a colpi di risate tra gli ormai conclamati The Big Bang Theory e Modern Family e la rivelazione delle ultime stagioni, Orange is the new black.

Nella categoria «Miglior serie drammatica», House of Cards e la serie in costume Downtown Abbey sfidano i due favoriti Game of Thrones e Breaking Bad.

La premiazione sarà il 25 agosto a Los Angeles.
